THE BRIQUETTES PROJECT
The Heart2Heart Briquette project is focused on economic empowerment and nature conservation as we decrease on defforestation as we seek to draw people away from using charcoal to the energy saving briquettes. The pilot project was in Kawempe, Kampala. Our briquettes cook faster, last longer and are cheaper. In partnership with Voice of Christ church we are to teach the youth how to make them and earn a reasonable income from the sales. The purpose is to empower and strengthen families economically.
THE HEARTS CONNECT, Community Support Program
Since 2015, we have been reaching out to the urban poor communities in Kampala during the Christmas and Easter holidays and donating to them clothing, shoes, accessories, food among others. We have been to Mulago Hospital , Acholi quarters twice aThis year we are going to give to the needy people in Kagoma, Kanyange, Wakiso District at our Community Centre.
